VP DESIGN at Postman

Postman is the app that makes it easy to test, develop and share APIs

Lead product design and UX at the developer-centric startup. Over the last two years we went from seed funding to Series A and most recently launched the paid product suite.

A quick snapshot of the app that is built on the REACT framework. The main goal was to make APIs easier and faster to explore, test, learn and build. Credits to interaction designer Vineet Kumar and the awesome Postman team.

Focusing on user engagement, we grew to 3 million users with more than 10 million API collection requests

The chrome app, mac app, windows app, web dashboard and CLI (Command Line Interface) work smoothly together for the best developer experience.

We created the Postman Run Button, so developers can instantly consume and explore your API collection. Just embed the button and you're done!

The product design team continually improved the experience based on user feedback, analysis and sessions from Twitter, Zendesk, Github, Slack and Google Hangouts.

MGIMS is the only hospital in India that successfully implemented a point of care iPad app for its doctors and nurses

Lead UX as the team worked closely with senior doctors to develop a workflow system that worked well with their HIS (Hospital Information System). As project lead my role also included scoping, client management and collaborating with external and internal developer teams.

The hospital has half a million outpatients and more than 45,000 inpatients every year. The app focussed on reducing human error and improving efficiency for doctors on the go as they had to deal with multiple patients. Visual Design by Harsha.

“Most laboratories are paperless now, and residents and consultants are able to access all test results, radiologic images - anytime anywhere. The system has close to 18 modules - that capture data from registration, insurance, admission counters, outpatient departments, labs (Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and radiology), inpatient departments, blood bank, operating rooms, Pharmacy, Kitchen and discharge counter. A Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS) now enables doctors to access the radiology images (radiographs, CT images, MRI images and USG) on their desktops.

The unique addition to the system is the use of iPads at the point of care- now the doctors can access the patient data at the bedside itself. ”

Understanding workflows at a busy heart surgery ICU at NH Hospital

Lead UX as we conducted in-depth interviews with junior nurses, senior nurses, and doctors at the ICU. After 2 weeks of observation we submitted a proof of concept for what we envisioned as a support to replace paper. A very challenging project!

EXPERIENCE DESIGNER AT R/GA SINGAPORE

Strategic UX and customer experience workshops for Aramex - a global shipping platform based in the middle east

Lead UX as the team collaborated closely with Aramex stakeholders and senior management to recommend UX based insights for their business and customers.

Workshops conducted by Steve, Jeff, Juan and I at Amman, Jordan as we kicked off the discovery and insights phase of the project.

A vital part of the project was understanding the current tech ecosystem. Tech mapping workshop lead by Jeff Donios.

Experimented with agile-first design and build methods for quick prototyping

Easy accounting, tracking and point of sale apps for iOS, Android and Web

Lead UX and direction as the team collaborated closely with the Account Edge team over two years. We built several successful products such as iPhone apps, iPhone apps and responsive web platforms.
